I haven’t found too many birds the last month or so, but have seen some nice scenery. I had two weeks off in August and visited a few places in Niigata. We spent one night in a hotel in the Bandai Asahi National Park, and spent an afternoon at Sakata, Niigata. I also had a nice outing with Billy and got my best shot a a wild Japanese Macaque in Niigata. (Many photos of them in Nagano and Tochigi). I saw them a few times from a car but it was difficult to get a clear photo before they fled.
