Here are some birds from Junsai-ike this weekend. I went there few a few hours both Saturday and Sunday. Pretty nice.

Red-flanked Bluetail

Brown-eared Bulbul

Oriental Greenfinch

    Hello, Mat. I guess its a Blue-and-white Flycatcher because I see them every year here in northern Japan. I looked up Zappey's and I think they are a closely related species more common in China. Thanks fo your comment.

    Hi again, Mat. I often see Blue-and-white Flycatchers here in Niigata. Although they remain here for summer, the best time is April and May. I think there more more around a few years ago. I always look forward to seeing them at this time of the year.
