Today was the last day of the Golden Week Holidays. I’ve found it quiet for birds the last few months but here is a Japanese Green Pheasant I saw this afternoon.
The colours work really well Russell. Over here no one looks at pheasants much because they are so common after being released in huge numbers by the shooting fraternity.

A great-looking bird… I've always got time for a pheasant. Some of our party saw one on Oshima (off Tokyo) a few days ago, but I dipped !
