A wonderfully dramatic encounter with a Black Falcon. I like the tree it was on! The other bird is a Pied Butcherbird.

  4. The falcon chose a good tree for you Russell. A dramatic looking bird as well as an exciting encounter with both birds' interaction likely that.

  5. That fifth shot is probably why so many people miss them – can hardly tell its there. The last shot shows it as a bit straggly on the bottom of the wing feathers. May be an old one who has been through a bit there Russell, cheers, Richard
