SPLASH! Jigokudani Yaen-Koen in the Wet Season (Part 2)

Japanese Macaque

Jigokudani Yaen-Koen, Nagano, Japan

June 10, 2012

Get ready! These are some more pics from last Sunday’s visit to Jigokudani Yaen-Koen.

These photos show another side of the monkeys’ behaviour. Some young guys were quite playful and spirited. I put my umbrella down briefly but had to quickly grab it again before it disappeared!
More to come in a few days.

Thank you for your comments, guys. I feel so foolish now, actually. Noushka, no, I didn't think of filming the action. It is because I am a dope. Aren't I? I took these pics with a D300 which doesn't have video but had a V1 in my bag. It would have been a good opportunity to try slow motion movie making. I'll have to go back! Thanks again for waking me up.
